How an LED screen illuminated a strong relationship between two countries

An immersive cultural experience is exactly what Encore created for the Australia Korea Business Awards to celebrate the business relationship between Australia and Korea held at the Grand Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt Seoul .

The client needed a full AV solution with a particular need to elevate the culturally significant Korean performance which was the finale of the event.

The focus for the event was celebrating the Australian and Korean cultures and the relationship between the two countries. In order to achieve this, the Encore team chose to highlight Australian icons and use themed content on a huge LED Wall as a focal point transforming the space.

Kangaroos greeted guests in the pre-function space as they walked the red carpet creating a perfect photo opportunity. 

Encore designed the event with an LED Wall as the highlight, used in a variety of ways to deliver high impact. On entering the event space, guests saw the giant LED wall, 10m x 4.5m on centre stage. The screen was utilised throughout the event to showcase sponsors and award winners. The LED wall seamlessly transitioned the event through the different stages from welcome to awards.

The finale was a special performance of local Korean dancers performing a traditional dance. The LED wall showed a vibrant design of a Korean temple while the dancers performed. Then the stage went dark unveiling a modern twist; the dancers had coloured LED lights stitched into the seams of their costumes providing modern fair to the traditional dance.
